Fundação Konrad Adenauer
KAS is a German Foundation that endorses the ideals of the CDU political party, the Christian Democratic Union of Germany. As co-founder of the CDU party and first German Chancellor, Konrad Adenauer (1876–1967) brought together social, Christian, conservative and liberal traditions. His name represents the vision of Germany’s democratic reconstruction, its external consolidation in a society of transatlantic and cross-border values, the vision of European unification and the social market economy. KAS works in partnership with state institutions, political parties, civil society organizations, as well as segments of society that can promote the common good. With its partners, it strives for an international public order that enables the development of all countries under conditions of freedom and responsibility. The Madrid delegation promotes and sponsors projects in Portugal and Spain.
